91 years old, William “Woody” Hershel received his commendation for his heroic actions on Iwo Jima. He was in Grove City, OH on Memorial Day to dedicate their Gold Star Memorial. In a ceremony when the parade concluded at the small city’s cemetery. He shared this compellling story of escorting a widower through Arlington Cemetery some years ago. It’s heartfelt and warming and goes to the point of addressing the price American families have paid for centuries to protect our freedom and liberty. There is something going on in the political orbit of PR and media exposure that is going to reap tremendous results for my Libertarian Party in case you haven’t noticed.
The media frenzy during this presidential year has already reached fevered pitch far surpassing that of 2008. Two weeks ago my Media Alert went off when I saw this guy Gary Johnson on CNN. Not once, but twice in a single day. It surpassed the number of times he was on CNN in his past two Presidential runs.
Of course that is somewhat satirical but close. It hasn’t stopped since.
